Presentation at ECLAS conference in Oslo 16 September
September 16th, NRGlab member Paolo Picchi presented recent work at the ECLAS UNISCAPE Conference “Lessons from the Past, Visions for the Future” in Oslo, Norway. Paolo’s presentation was entitled “Pedagogy in transdisciplinary approaches to landscape: training public administrations in renewable energy transition, the case of Amsterdam”. The conference presentation featured the first insights of the METRO research project: Metropolitane Energie Transitie en Ruimtelijk Ordening (in English: Metropolitan Energy Transition and Spatial Planning), commissioned by the Municipality of Amsterdam. Sven Stremke and Dirk Oudes from the High-Density Energy Landscape research group at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture co-authored the presentation. Together, we drove to Oslo making use of an electric car and, on our way, visit energy landscapes in Germany, Denmark and Norway.
