Social media for crowdsourcing ideas, local knowledge and narratives for SEL design – Paper accepted for 2013 DLA conference (Bernburg/Dessau Germany, 6-8 June)

The paper Application of social media in a regional design competition: a case study in the Netherlands authored by Renée de Waal, Annet Kempenaar, Ron van Lammeren en Sven Stremke, has been accepted for the 2013 Digital Landscape Architecture (DLA) conference. The paper describes how the potential of social media for crowdsourcing innovative ideas, local knowledge and narratives is explored and exploited in the setting of a regional design competition. Sustainable energy was one of the four core themes of the contest (see www.eowijers.nl). Apart from coauthoring this paper, Sven Stremke is also member of the scientific program committee of the DLA conference series.
